COLUSA, Colusa County — October 26, 2026. Residents of Colusa have two different public meetings scheduled for the first week of November. The city’s official calendar lists a City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, followed by a Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday, November 4. Both are listed from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall, 425 Webster Street, Colusa, CA 95932.
What the two bodies do—and why residents might attend
The City Council is the city’s elected governing body. The Planning Commission, whose members are appointed by council, reviews matters such as conditional-use permits, subdivisions and parcel maps and makes recommendations about the General Plan and zoning rules. That does not mean a particular project, subdivision or proposed ordinance is scheduled for either meeting: the general events calendar does not establish the detailed agenda.
The city says Planning Commission meetings include an opportunity for comment on issues not listed on the agenda, within applicable meeting rules. Anyone with a concern about nearby development should read the staff reports and formal notice for that particular matter before making a claim about a planned approval.
Where to find official agendas
Check the city’s homepage and meetings calendar and the official agenda and minutes system for posted documents, public-comment rules or last-minute changes. Residents should confirm the final agenda and meeting status close to November 3 and 4.
